Zak Organics received funding from the Growing Forward2 - SAVI Funding Program to help launch his Crunchy Peas. The SAVI program helps develop and expand small to medium-sized enterprises and producer/processor organizations who add value to agricultural products. It provides funding to these organizations to help capture market opportunities. Funding is available in three key areas: marketing, product/prototype development and training. www.saskatchewan.ca/GrowingForward2

"We first heard about the Saskatchewan Agri-Value Initiative from the Food Centre. The program has allowed us to collaborate with excellent food scientists at the Food Centre, where we first developed our green pea snacks. The financial aid from SAVI has also helped us bring the snack to market and was a huge benefit for us." - Allen Zak
